“It’s gonna be a killer summer, y’all! Time to drop everything you got and come see us on the road,” says Dierks. “The Gravel & Gold tour has been the best of my career, and I’m not ready to leave it behind,” He also shared in a statement. “We are so locked in with this production that it allows me to be living right in the moment with the fans, and that’s the magic!”
“I’m bringing along some old friends and some newer artists who are all putting their own unique spin on country, bluegrass, and Americana music. I can’t wait to watch their shows and hopefully sing with them too. Those collaborations are a highlight of my summer every year.”
After touring the nation last year, we all thought Dierks Bentley might be taking a break this year, but no! Resuming his Gravel & Gold Tour this summer, the Nashville star will return to the road this June, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Making a total of 30 stops around North America, including one stop here in Syracuse, New York this August 16th at the Lakeview Amphitheater. The tour will continue through September before winding up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin's American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
Chase Rice and Lee Brice will be joining Dierks Bentley on the road this summer and fall, for direct support, while a whole host of Country up-and-comers come along for various stops around the country including Kaitlin Butts, Zach Top, Tanner Usrey, Randy Rogers Band, Graham Barham, Tyler Braden, Mae Estes, Ella Langley, and Bella White. As well as this veritable complete cross-section of country music, this year will also see Charlie Worsham join up as part of Dierks' band. “I brought Charlie in after making this record,” Dierks said in an interview. “I kind of joked with him about coming on the road, and he goes, ‘I’d love to!’”
Gravel & Gold, is Dierks' 10th studio album, and came out in early 2023, almost five years since his previous, The Mountain. “Every album has to stand on its own, needs to be its own piece of work, regardless of touring,” Dierks said in an interview. “I feel like all our records have been like that, but obviously the most recent one’s the one you’re most passionate about like that.”
The lead single off the album, “Gold,” co-written with Luke Dick, Ross Copperman, Trent Dabbs and Ashley Gorley, scored Dierks his 22nd number 1 single. “When we wrote ‘Gold,’ I wanted to write a song that captures the idea of enjoying the journey,” Dierks explained. “The reality is that there are a lot of rocky times that we all go through, but amongst all the tough stuff, when you look for the special moments it can change how you view the world. I know that’s a reminder I need for myself, so the fans and Country radio embracing it means a lot.” Watch the video of the song down below now!
