Hey Syracuse, Hey Lakeview crew! Are we ready for some Good Vibrations, some Surfin tunes all throughout the U.S.A.?! Okay okay, maybe we won’t be surfing here at Lakeview anytime soon, but Wouldn’t It Be Nice?? As a consolation prize - we have some of the best shows in store for you all summer long. And we’ll promise to make it all Funky and Pretty, we promise the band will Make It Good - because The Beach Boys are coming to town!

The Beach Boys, the most iconic surf rock group this world has ever known, is going on tour all summer long - and we want you to hang ten right here with us at the amphitheater! This June on Sunday the 29th, catch The Boys right here as they bring their Sounds Of Summer Tour right here to town for all of our listening and musical harmonies pleasure.

The Beach Boys are one of the most iconic and well known groups throughout the surf rock psychedelia scene and in the music industry at large. Formed in 1961 and never taking a break since, the crew has won multiple GRAMMYs, are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, have sold over 100 million records worldwide, have over fifty Billboard Hot 100 hits, and have been a major force in legitimizing pop rock in not just America - but all across the world. Us here at Lakeview Amphitheater, located right here in Syracuse New York and one of the premier venues of our city, are so excited to welcome The Boys as they take on their Sounds of Summer Tour 2025 right here in Syracuse on June 29th, and continue to show us decade after decade why they’re one of the best boy bands to ever exist.
The Beach Boys, who originally went by the name The Pendletons, got their start as a garage band in L.A. county, after band cofounder Brian Wilson started learning to sing harmony and dissecting vocals of popular songs in the early 60s from his bedroom. He eventually got his brothers and his neighbor in on the idea of starting a band with him, and they used their vocals, keyboard set, and guitar christmas presents to start an early iteration of The Beach Boys right in their hometown of Hawthorne. They incorporated electric guitar and surf drums into their early music that gave them a distinct style to the fast paced hard rock that was coming out of the east coast and England at the time, and as such they attracted many eyes and ears from Hollywood music execs. They recorded their first demo song - Surfin’ - at World Pacific Studio in Hollywood, and signed to Candex Records weeks later. When the demo finally hit the airwaves, it was a smash hit - surfing up to 75 on the Billboard Hot 100, and cementing their California legacy almost instantly. The boys then went on to release their first album Surfin’ Safari - and the rest is surf rock history. They have too many accomplishments to name - and maybe that’s what makes them so unique and special - everyone has a favorite Beach Boys song, and a place they hold in our hearts during our California summer days.
